GammaSwing
The new option for various spinal problems
In the Western world spinal issues are a major health problem, causing personal suffering, economic damage and huge medical expenses.
Back problems costing billions: Recent studies reveal that spiralling costs (absenteeism, therapy, surgery, sick leave etc) caused by back pain, amount to about 2.2 percent of economic output (GDP) in Austria alone. One has to expect therefore a loss of up to six billion Euros (source: Austrian pain weeks 2010). A new study by a European Commission estimates the cost of the muscle and spinal disorders to businesses and social systems, to be 1.6 percent of gross domestic product across the EU. These amounts equate to roughly 200 billion Euros, or the entire economic output of a country like Denmark or Poland.
A variety of therapeutic options: There are various therapeutic options available for treating spinal problems, ranging from medication to physical therapy to surgery.
The first dynamic traction system: Within the therapy spectrum for back pain treatments, there are the widely used standard practice physiotherapy techniques alongside the Reziprophylaxe option; the extension treatment is particularly proven to be a viable substitute. With this principal in mind the dynamic device GammaSwing is actively used by therapists in clinical practices, promising modification and further development to back treatment.
